Position Available - Part Time School Resource Officers (SLEO)

Galloway Township Police Department is currently hiring School Resource Officers (SRO). Minimum 20yrs of police experience is required. Certification as a Police Officer or SLEO (Special Law Enforcement Officer) required. School Resource Officer (SRO) or similar training preferred.

Position is Part-time- 20-25 hours per week  

Salary- $20.00 per hour

Position Available - Full Time 9-1-1 Communications Operator

Communications Director Kurt Hackney coordinating emergency service personnel.


Please be advised that the following position is open at the Galloway Police Department.

The Galloway Township Police Department has immediate openings for Public Safety Dispatchers at our Communications Center. Dispatchers work in a fast paced environment handling emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire and EMS services. Our Communications Center is responsible for the communities of Galloway Township, Mullica Township, and Port Republic, servicing a total of 2 police departments, 10 fire companies, and 1 EMS squad.

Applicants must have certification as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) along with current CPR certification. Extensive on the job training is provided to new hires. Starting salary is $32,500 with no prior experience and $35,000 with prior experience. Medical and dental benefits, New Jersey State Pension System benefits, and vacation time are provided.
