The Patrol Division is the central and most important function of the Galloway Township Police Department. Essentially the "backbone" of the agency, uniformed patrol officers are the most visible officers to the public. Some, but not all, of the Patrol Division's primary responsibilities include responding to calls for service, performing preventative patrol through the use of marked police vehicles, Community Policing, and utilizing proactive enforcement techniques to locate and apprehend law violators. The Patrol Division is under the administrative command of Lt. Ryan Goehringer and divided into four squads, each of which is under the supervision of both a Sergeant First Class (SFC) and Sergeant (Sgt.). Our agency also employs several Special Law Enforcement Officers (Class II) and School Resource Officers (Class III) who supplement our services.
