The Traffic Safety Unit is responsible for the planning, analysis, and coordination of traffic safety-related issues, routine and targeted traffic enforcement, traffic safety education, accident investigation/reconstruction, and traffic engineering. The Traffic Safety Unit is supervised by SFC Steven Vernon and Sgt. Kevin Costa, and is under the administrative command of Lt. Scott Winneberger, and has four assigned officers.

The Traffic Safety Unit monitors a hotline that residents may call to leave information or voice concerns about traffic-related issues. Residents may dial (609) 652-3705 ext. 377.

NOTE: This line is NOT for emergency situations. For incidents requiring immediate response, residents should call (609) 652-3705 ext. 1 or 9-1-1 as the situation dictates.
